Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of WebOrange Search — the WordPress plugin and the hosted search service behind it. By installing the plugin and activating a licence key, you accept them.

2. What the service is

WebOrange Search indexes your WooCommerce catalogue on our servers and answers search queries from your storefront. The plugin is the client; the search itself runs on our infrastructure. If our service is unreachable, search on your store falls back to WordPress's built-in search — your store keeps working.

3. Plans and limits

The free plan does not expire and is not a trial. It limits only how many products are indexed — never how many searches you may run, and never for how long.

If your catalogue exceeds your plan's limit, products beyond the limit are simply not indexed. Nothing is deleted and search keeps working for the products that are indexed. We enforce limits on our side; the plugin will tell you when you are close to one.

4. Payment, renewal and cancellation

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Prices are in euro and exclude VAT where applicable.
• The subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
• After cancellation your store drops to the free plan — it is not suspended and nothing is deleted. If your catalogue is larger than the free limit, products beyond it stop appearing in search results.
• We do not refund partial months. This does not affect any statutory right of withdrawal you may have as a consumer under EU law.

If a payment fails, we will retry through Stripe and let you know. We do not cut off search without telling you first.

5. Your responsibilities

• Keep your licence key private. It identifies your store; anyone holding it can index against your account.
• You are responsible for the content you send us and for having the right to send it.
• Do not use the service to index content that is unlawful, or to attack, overload or probe our infrastructure.
• One licence covers one store domain. Additional stores need their own.

6. Our responsibilities, honestly stated

We aim to keep the service available and fast, but we offer no uptime guarantee on any plan, and none at all on the free plan. We will not pretend otherwise in order to close a sale. If we ever offer a service level, it will be written here in numbers.

We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you depend on, or shut the service down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email so you can export your data and move.

7. Suspension

We may suspend a store that is attacking our infrastructure, is being used unlawfully, or is unpaid after we have contacted you. Except where the law or an active attack requires immediate action, we contact you first.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. On the free plan, that amount is zero — which is the honest consequence of a free service, and the reason the free plan carries no guarantees. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury, or anything else that cannot legally be limited.

9. Data protection

For your catalogue and search statistics we act as your processor. What we receive, where it is stored, who else is involved and how long we keep it is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. If you need a signed data processing agreement, ask us.

10. Changes to these terms

We will email the address on your account before any change that affects you takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel — the free plan remains available to you either way.

11. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of Greece, and the courts of Greece have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory law in your country of residence.
